I love the bearded iris. Most of my life I have lived in the deep south and never had the chance to grow these beauties. But when I moved to the Chicago area, and then to East Texas, I was able to thoroughly enjoy many species of these colorful, ruffled, delicate flowers. I miss growing them, but in Corpus Christi, they just don't survive the heat!
