Today's painting is being donated to my church auction in honor of Tess Cherry, a lovely young woman whose second battle with cancer resulted in her missing her senior prom. Our church is having a "Butterfly Prom" next month, not only for her to enjoy, but numerous others who are celebrating a milestone or a metamorphosis. And it happens to be on my wedding anniversary! Her mom asked if I'd do a butterfly painting for the auction, so I put this one in my daily rotation to paint.
